www.studiohb.co.za (“Website“) is a site owned and operated by Studio HB Proprietary Limited (registration number: 2016/468358/07) (“Studio HB“), a company owned and managed by its founder, Hiten Bawa.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with Terms of Use and describes how we process information we collect and/or receive from you.

If you contact us for a quotation, particularly in respect of Studio HB’s accessibility design offerings, you may choose to disclose information about any disability that you may have in order for us to provide you with a comprehensive quotation, and later in order for us to fulfil any contract for our services.  This information may fall within the definition of special personal information or health information.  In the event that you choose to disclose this information to us, you provide us with your explicit consent to process this information.  Studio HB will only process your special personal information or health information in order to provide you with our services.

  • Information we collect or receive when you use the Website

We collect information when you use the Website by using cookies, web beacons and other technologies.  Depending on how you access and use websites, we may receive:

  • log information;
  • information we infer about you based on your interaction with products and services;
  • historical transaction information relating to your interactions with us;
  • device information (for example the type of device you’re using, how you access platforms, your browser or operating system and your Internet Protocol (IP) address);

  • to fulfil any order made my you on our Website;

  • to provide you with support; and
  • to provide effective advertising, we won’t market to you directly, however, you are able to choose to receive notifications and advertisements from us.

    • You have the right to ask us not to contact you for marketing purposes. You can exercise this right at any time by disabling the notification function on the application.  We won’t send you marketing messages if you tell us not to but we will still need to send you service-related messages.
    • We want to make sure that any data we hold about you is up to date. So, if you think your personal information is inaccurate, you can ask us to correct or remove it.

We will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy or to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.  However, we do employ a number of safeguards intended to mitigate the risk of unauthorised access or disclosure of your information.  We will do our best to protect your personal information and we will use up to date technology that will help us to do this.  We will at all times comply with our obligation under applicable law.

    • We are based in and operate from South Africa. Your information, including personal information is stored and maintained on servers located in South Africa.
    • We might transfer your personal information to places outside of South Africa and store it there, where our service providers might process it. If that happens, your personal information will only be transferred to and stored in country that has equivalent, or better, data protection legislation than South Africa or with a service provider which is subject to an agreement requiring it to comply with data protection requirements equivalent or better than those applicable in South Africa.
    • Your use of our Website, followed by your submission of information to us, represents your consent to such transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.  Any changes that we may make to our Privacy Policy will be posted on our application and will be effective from the date of posting.

      • access to the records containing your personal information or a description of the personal information that we hold about you; and

    • If you wish to object to the processing of your personal information, please complete and submit Form 1 and send this to hiten@hitenbawa.co.za.
    • If you wish to correct or delete your personal information or wish for a record to be destroyed or deleted, please complete and submit the Form 2 and send this to hiten@hitenbawa.co.za.
